Are You Being Called?
Be Apostles of

the Lord

In our everyday quest for the meaning of life, "our lives", to be more specific, we often feel as if perhaps we are lost in a sea of questions. Swirling uncontrollably in all the world's hectic pace, and sometimes never realize that the Lord has plans for us, but we refuse or simply do not hear Him.

Considering all the atrocities which take place every minute of every day, we have a larger need than ever for real life saints, who will walk our Earth, helping to shepherd God's sheep.

Some of these atrocities took place right in our Catholic church, but as we know full well; satan thrives on such as this. He spins his web of poison to avert your eyes from the good being done, to only the terrible things, therefore leaving us all afraid to go where angels tread.

Winston Churchill said it so well, "Never, in the history of human conflict, was so much owed by so many to so few". Unfortunately, I mean this in negative terms, of course. It is true that throughtout the world and all throughout history, horrible things took place. These atrocities in God's eyes, surrendered many against the very idea of entering the priesthood. Lest they stray. However, straying is not what we are speaking of. We are speaking of those (unspeakable for years), who devastated the lives of so many. We thought we were safe in their care. However, they were mentally ill (sick) individuals who maimed and abused our precious little ones.

Unspeakable is key here, for these acts were unspeakable to those who were good.

There is no in between. You are either good or you are evil. Performing evil acts would classify you as evil. God in His divine mercy is a forgiving God, however, not everyone is forgiving.

It is a disaster to feel disinterested in the gifts God has bestowed upon us. In His mercy He has shed so many graces, one being the vocation of Holy Orders.

I always loved the way of life the clergy enjoy. To live to be a servant of the Lord, in my opinion, is the ultimate reason for living.

Every one of us is a potential saint. It is within God's power and it is a choice you need to make. God may call us to a life of servitude, and that may frighten us, however, it is a life which fills our minds and hearts, as we love and serve God.

To be truly holy is something we aspire to. We pray to be made worthy of God's unconditional love.

If you are called to a life of holy orders, go, undauntingly, and believe that you have been called.

BE APOSTLES of THE LORD!
There is no greater call.

Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!

The words of the song you are listening to say it so well. Please read the lyrics below.

The Summons
by J. Bell

Will you come and follow Me
If I but call your name?
Will you go where you don't know and never be the same?
Will you let My love be shown,
Will you let My Name be known,
Will you let My life be grown in you and you in Me?

Will you leave yourself behind
If I but call your name?
Will you care for cruel and kind and never be the same?
Will you risk the hostile stare
Should your life attract or scare?
Will you let Me answer pray'r in you and you in Me?

Will you let the blinded see
If I but call your name?
Will you set the pris'ners free and never be the same?
Will you kiss the leper clean,
And do such as this, unseen,
And admit to what I mean in you and you in Me?

Will you love the 'you' you hide
If I but call your name?
Will you quell the fear inside and never be the same?
Will you use the faith you've found
To reshape the world around,
Through My sight and touch and sound in you and you in me?

Lord Your summons echoes true
When You but call my name.
Let me turn and follow You and never be the same.
In Your company I'll go
Where Your love and footsteps show.
Thus I'll move and live and grow
In You and You in me.
