The Power of Prayer

The Power of the Holy Spirit

Reborn

"For John indeed baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit..."Acts 1:5

"The disciples asked, 'Lord has the time come? Are you going to restore the kingdom to Israel?' He replied, 'It is not for you to know times or dates that the Father has decided by His own authority, but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you, and then you will be my witnesses not only in Jerusalem but throughout Judaea and Samaria, and indeed to the ends of the earth.'

As He said this He was lifted up while they looked on, and a cloud took Him from their sight. They were still staring into the sky when suddenly two men in white were standing near them and they said, 'Why are you men from Galilee standing here looking into the sky? Jesus who has been taken up from you into heaven, this same Jesus will come back in the same way as you have seen Him go there.'" Acts 1:6-11

"When Pentecost day came around they had all met in one room, when suddenly they heard what sounded like a powerful wind from heaven, the noise of which filled the entire house in which they were sitting; and something appeared to them that seemed like tongues of fire; these separated and came to rest on the head of each Apostle. They were filled with the Holy Spirit, and began to speak foreign languages as the Spirit gave them the gift of speech." Acts 2:1-4

The word "reborn" refers to new birth in the Holy Spirit.

For those who are thirsting for more in your religion and beliefs, being baptized in the Holy Spirit gives you a closer relationship with God.

You will now walk with Him moment to moment instead of praying only at specific times. You will be Jesus for those in need, and you will try to act the way Jesus did when He was on earth. You will find that the Lord uses us as His tools to help people. At times...you won't know when to expect it...but the Lord will use you to perhaps heal, witness, guide, and be a positive influence by the things that you do and how you act. You only need to believe in the Power of the Holy Spirit to be reborn into a new life of living Jesus's way.

Your life itself will not change drastically, but you will notice that you will find a deeper pleasure in the beauty of the earth, and you will see the good in people instead of concentrating on their bad aspects.

"In the days to come--it is the Lord who speaks--
I will pour out my spirit on all mankind.
Their sons and daughters shall prophesy,
your young men shall see visions,
your old men shall dream dreams.
Even on my servants, men and women,
in those days, I will pour out my spirit.
I will display portents in heaven above
and signs on earth below.
The sun will be turned into darkness
and the moon into blood
before the great Day of the Lord dawns.
All who call on the name of the Lord will be saved."
Acts 2:17 - 21

Invite the Holy Spirit to abide in you.

You will never be alone.

You have only to ask and you shall receive the Holy Spirit.
From this day on, try to live a life of goodness, read the bible, and if you do sin, confess your sins.
Always help those in need, (even if only to pray for them), and always listen for and heed the words God speaks to you as He leads you.
Act out in faith as you are led to do God's will.

You will be amazed at the difference this will make in your life.
Suddenly you will be raised above the insignificant bickerings and you will see the larger picture of what is to come.
You will be doing the will of God, and with this comes responsibility to be the best influence you can be to one and all.
Living a life of goodness is thinking of and doing things for the good of all, not just for yourself.
It's a better life, and it's one hundred times more rewarding.
You will be filled with such love for God that His light will shine from your eyes, and you will be a beacon to others.
This is the best way to influence those who are searching.

Please Lord, God, fill us with Your Holy Spirit and give us the gifts of the Holy Spirit, that we may be Your servants and follow Your lead to do Your will...

Let's Pray

Imagine yourself kneeling at the foot of the cross, as Jesus suffers His crucifixion.
Pray fervently.
Concentrate only on Jesus on the cross.
Pray to God the Father in the name of Jesus Christ.

Lord Jesus, You said, "where two or more gather in Your name, You would be in their midst".
We praise and thank You for all You've given us.
We praise and thank You for a multitude of healings, both large and small.
We ask You to take anything that is not of You from us.
Please protect us from evil.
We praise and thank You for being our light in the darkness.
We praise and thank You for Your Divine mercy and unconditional love.
You are the lamb of God Who takes away the sin of the world.
Have mercy on us.
Lord thank You for always being with us, "even until the end of time".
We claim the precious blood of Jesus Christ.
We are children of God.
Please forgive us our sins.
Lord thank You for dying for us on the cross.
Lord thank You for hearing our prayers.

Lord Jesus, please hear the special intentions of those who now pray, (here add your prayer requests) and heal us from the tops of our heads to the tips of our toes, mentally, physically, and spiritually.

Lord thank You for picking us up when we fall.
We will follow where You lead us.
Only You can save us.
Praise and thank You for Your loving heart and for making us in Your image.
Thank You Lord for our families and loved ones, please protect them from all harm and illness.
Guide us Lord to the path You want us to take, and help us to accept the will of God.
We love You Lord, with all our hearts and souls.
Always have, always will.
We are Your servants, please use us.
Please soften the hearts of those who are lost, and help us to reach them to help them see Your light.
We ask these things in the name of Jesus Christ, the messiah, the son of the living God.

We will follow where You lead us.
Please help us to discern good from evil.
Please give us the gifts of the Holy Spirit to help Your people, Lord.
We denounce satan and all evil, and wish only to serve You, Lord God most high, Who are all worthy and all pure.
You alone are worthy.
Praise You Lord God for being omnipotent and for loving us so much.
Please help us to be the people You want us to be.

Our Father, Who art in heaven
Hallowed be Thy name.
Thy kingdom come.
Thy will be done
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass against us
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil
for thine is the Kingdom, and the power, and the glory, now and forever...
Amen

The power of prayer is awesome. Miracles do happen...usually because someone prays...and God in His Divine Mercy answers...

Come Pray With Me

I have started a Yahoo club entitled, "Come Pray With Me".
For those of you who would like to join, please email me, and I will send you an invitation.
We will have weekly prayer meetings in the chat room of the club.
In order to be able to enter the chat room, you will unfortunately have to join the club first.
(Sorry I have no control over that.)
You are all welcome to come pray with me.
I would like to know how many of you are interested in attending a prayer meeting, and which nights/days are good for you.
I will schedule the prayer meetings according to the requests I receive by email.
Thanks so much, and praise the Lord! Hope to see you in the chat room of the club soon.
